Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a set of questions that I am often asked and I have tried to answer each one as fully as possible. However, if you can't find the answer to a specific question you have or need further clarification on any of the one's answered here, please email me

Q: What will I learn on the course?

A: You will learn how to create an original mixed media artwork from scratch combining a range of techniques such as collage, inkwork, drawing, painting and image transfer as well as how to respond intuitively to your own sense of creativity and begin to trust your aesthetic instincts. The outcome will be a totally unique artwork that is personal to you

following my step by step process.

Q: What is included?

A: The course comprises over 3 hours of full HD video tutorials which can be paused, rewound and revisited as many times as you like  with accompanying full colour step by step guides to download, save and print.

Q: Is this course suitable for me?

A: This course is aimed at students aged 16+ and adults, regardless of experience or ability level, who has a genuine interest in creativity and a desire to push through the usual blocks that can impede motivation and the confidence to start.  It isn't about learning to paint a particular subject in a particular way but more of a fun way to explore the process of making art so that you begin to trust your own intuition and sense of creative awareness and self expression.

So, whether you are a stay at home parent needing an interesting creative outlet, an art student looking for

new project ideas or even an artist seeking a new direction, this course is DEFINITELY for you.

Q: What materials and equipment will I need to complete the course?

A: I have designed each stage to be as economical as possible utilising ordinary items found in the home with just a few basics such a few acrylic paints, a couple of brushes, some glue and just two 'specialist' materials with suggestions of where to buy them. That said, everything you need you will either have already or will be able to buy for a few pounds at the most.

A full list will be accessible at the point of sale.

Q: What digital device will I need to view the course content?

A: To the best of my knowledge , all of the content is viewable on most digital platforms, including mobile phones. It goes without saying that a good internet connection is important  and it is always advisable to view on the largest screen possible for ease of visibility.  If you do experience any technical issues they can be emailed to me via the links on this site and I will do my very best to resolve them for you but issues involving internet speeds will need to be directed towards your provider.

Q: How long will it take me to complete the course?

A: The whole course should take no more than 10 hours in total if you are working at a fairly relaxed pace.

Q: Can I share the course content with my friends and family?

A: My course content is designed to be a one off purchase for the exclusive use of the buyer and is password and IP protected,

so please do not attempt to share it with others.

Q: What happens to my personal details after I have bought the course?

A: Please be assured that your personal data will be kept totally private and will not be shared with any third party EVER in compliance with the GDPR regulations.  I do not share a workspace or computer with anyone else and have full protection via antivirus software.

Q: What if I am unsatisfied with the artwork I make as a result of completing the course?

A: The beauty of an online course is that you can view the tutorials however many times it takes to learn the techniques so there is a huge margin for trial and error. As this is very much a learning through action and  experience course, the methods and techniques you will learn will be yours to adapt and repeat in future artworks that will no doubt, be more successful

It is also worth noting that we are often our own worst critic which is why I strongly encourage the sharing of work in the private members facebook group where you will receive lots of positive encouragement and support from both myself and your fellow students.
